ALBATROSS – A Movie

Heya!

Today, I would like to talk about a movie I saw during a special screening. It was part of a lecture on plastic pollution with a specific scope on Scotland. However, the movie is more than plastic, it’s the story of the bird: Albatross.

This is what I knew about the bird before the movie: it has the largest wingspan in the world and it’s the title of a poem of french author Charles Baudelaire.

Related to plastic, I know the photographies of dead birds with their stomach open – full of plastic varying from relatively big and sharp pieces to entire toothbrushes.

The 1h30 min long movie moves you with their soundtrack and beautiful imageries. From love to despair, to finding hope again, this movie is intense but shows you with almost no explications, how our individual actions have consequences. I would advise you to have a look at the entire ongoing mini-series on plastic pollution.

If you want to watch it, perhaps have a look at the trailer otherwise you can click on this link to watch the entire movie. I really hope you watch it and talk about with people around you! Let’s raise awareness about plastic pollution!

🦚 Stay happy.
